Harmony, Colour, Light …
Falling once again under the spell of Apulia’s vibrant and heart-warming charms, Natuzzi illuminate the skies as official sponsor of the first international edition of the Alberobello Light Festival.
From the 23rd to the 31st of July, the celebrated trulli cottages of Alberobello — Apulian village and UNESCO World Heritage Site —illuminate the skyline for the summer edition of the 2016 Light Festival. Visionary contributions from high-profile contemporary artists form the cornerstone of this enchanting event, projected onto the trulli walls in a play of iridescent light that bring these evocative installations to life in a kaleidoscope of colours.
Natuzzi takes centre stage with its installation Feel [the] Light, hosting Clouds, the latest piece from new media artist Tilen Sepic. Featuring bespoke raw materials painstakingly sourced and procured by Natuzzi, this visionary opus showcases the contrast between natural and synthetic, placing every-day objects in an urban environment to create tactile and visually striking combinations inspired by clouds.
This exceptional centrepiece presides over a set conceived entirely by Natuzzi, an authentic piece of heaven suspended between Sepic’s Clouds and the intriguing context of Alberobello’s trulli: a magical and poetic mise en scène dreamt up and made real by Natuzzi in the heart of Apulia, motherland and muse to the world-renowned design brand.
Natuzzi’s Feel [the] Light area extends visitors an invitation to relax, to take the weight of their feet and succumb to the comfort of Re-Vive, the first ever high-performance recliner chair, offering a unique lightweight sensation amplified by the breathtaking setting and its thematic unity with the work of the cloud-inspired artist.
The entire set is hosted on the Belvedere terrace, the highest point of Alberobello, overlooking the intoxicating and timeless trulli district. The atmosphere is even more spellbinding come evening, with the Belvedere illuminated by the light emanating from Sepic’s radiant work and the indulgent embrace of Natuzzi’s Re-Vive armchair pampering the festival-goers.
What’s more, the Natuzzi curated-area represents a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity to its visitors, who can take memorable pictures of their idyllic surroundings and be photographed on the Re-Vive armchairs, suspended between the serene Apulian sky and the iconic roofs of Alberobello’s trulli. These snapshots are shared throughout the duration of the Festival on Natuzzi’s official social media channels.
